LET THE NUMBERS SPEAK (about us)

Abstract.

With this project, I want to make to see the student (between 12-16 years old) how numbers can reflect how we, our city, region or country are.

Numbers can tell us a lot of things about us and across them we can better know how we live or how we are.

Now we are going to investigate what the numbers can say about us.

Targets of the project.

-          To improve the interest in math

-          To know our environment

-          To know other societies and cultures

-          To know across the numbers the characteristics of every place.

-          To reflect the reality across the numbers.

-          To know the meaning of the main statistical parameters and how we can calculate them.

-          Handling of computer software for the information treatment.

-          To know the different information banks.

-          To represent in a graphic and attractive way the numerical information.

Development of the project.

The project will be development in three phases:

-          Presentation

o   We in numbers

o   Our city in numbers

o   Our region in numbers

o   Our country in numbers

-          Handling of numerical information

o   Making numerical table

o   Knowing and calculating the main statistical parameters

-          Representation

o   Graphic and different ways to show the information

Finally objects

-          Brochure with the information

-          Layouts
